Virtual Dalí Theatre-Museum Navigation Guide

The Virtual Dalí Theatre-Museum is an online digital representation of the Dalí Theatre-Museum in Catalonia, Spain.

Software Requirements


The virtual museum can be viewed on monitors and displays. In addition, the website supports smaller screens as well as touch screen devices such as smartphones, tablets, and laptops. The virtual museum works with the following web browsers:

Visual Cues and Information Text Boxes



On-screen controls – The On-screen controls have options for playing a virtual walkthrough, toggling the Highlights bar, switching floors and views, and enabling Measurement Mode.

Highlights bar – The Highlights bar is used for accessing specific points of interest in the museum.

Points of Interest (POI) Markers – The interactive POI Markers point out specific objects in the museum. Clicking or tapping the POI Markers displays Information text boxes.

Walking aide – The Walking aides on the floor mark specific interactive points that when clicked or tapped, take the user to a predefined position in the museum, gallery, corridor, or room.



Information text boxes – Clicking the POI Markers displays text boxes with descriptions and supplementary photos and links related to the object.

Using the On-Screen Controls

Displaying the Highlights bar


Click the Open Highlights icon to display the Highlights bar.


Viewing the museum walkthrough


Click the Play button to start a tour of the main rooms in the museum.


Toggling between Dollhouse view and Floorplan view


Dollhouse view provides a navigable miniature view of the museum. Floorplan view provides a bird’s eye-view of the museum.


Switching to the 3D space


Click the Explore 3D Space icon when in Floorplan view to switch to a first-person perspective of the museum.


Using the Floor Selector


The Floor Selector is used for switching between floors 1-3. The All option is available in Floorplan view and displays all the POI markers on each floor at once.


Measuring objects in Measurement Mode


In Measurement Mode, visitors can add virtual points to measure objects in the museum.



Sharing content


The Share this space icon displays options for sharing a link to a specific room in the museum, or posting content to Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Pinterest.


Viewing the museum using a VR Headset


Click the View in VR icon if you want to view the museum using a Google Cardboard or Samsung Gear VR headset.
